AirTag and Tile both rely on Bluetooth — they can only update your device's location when another person with the app happens to walk past it. Ankhora has a built-in GPS chip and LTE modem, so it can report its exact coordinates from anywhere with cell coverage, completely independently.
No. Ankhora includes an embedded eSIM. The LTE data plan is included in your Premium subscription — there's nothing extra to buy or activate. It works on major networks in the US and internationally.
In typical use (Bluetooth active, GPS polled occasionally), the battery lasts around 30 days. With continuous GPS + LTE active, expect 3–5 days. Ankhora is fully rechargeable via a proprietary magnetic connector — no coin cell replacements ever.
