05 — Location Data

Location Data

Because Ankhora's core purpose is item tracking, location data is fundamental to our service. We want to be especially transparent about how it is handled:

BLE (Bluetooth) Data: When your device is within Bluetooth range, proximity data is processed locally on your smartphone. This data is not transmitted to our servers unless needed for feature-specific functions such as Last Known Location.
GPS / LTE Data (Premium): When the Premium plan is active and GPS tracking is triggered, coordinates are transmitted via LTE to our secure servers and made available to you through the App or web dashboard.
Crowd Network: If enabled, other Ankhora app users may anonymously assist in detecting your device when it is out of range. No personally identifiable information is shared with those users.

Location history is stored for a maximum of 90 days on our servers by default. Premium subscribers may access extended history settings. You can delete your location history at any time from your account settings.

Your location data is never shared with advertisers, sold to third parties, or used to infer personal characteristics unrelated to the tracking service.
